April 20, 2015 | News written by: Cristian | Leave a comment (0)

Victoria took to Twitter last Saturday to announce that MTV has unfortunately cancelled ‘Eye Candy‘. You can read her twitlonger post below. Even though things didn’t work out this time we at VictoriaJusticeDaily.Org couldn’t be prouder of Victoria and we are looking forward to her next projects!

Hi everyone! I wanted you guys to hear it from me first, that the cast and I received news that Eye Candy will not be returning for season 2. Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson, is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart. I couldn’t have asked for better cast mates to work with either. They are the most down to earth, talented and kind souls that I am so happy to have met. Then there’s our show runner @Christiantwit1 who is so awesomely talented and made a show that I am so incredibly proud to be a part of. A very special thank you to Jason Blum and the Blumhouse team, you guys are amazing! Jessica, thanks for all your hard work and dedication to Eye Candy.

Last but definitely not at all least, thank you to the amazing fans. I saw all of your WW trends (it might be 23 or 24 to date) and your unflinching support. It’s because of all of you that I get to do what I love. I am beyond grateful for that. It made me so happy that you embraced the show the way you did. I was so lucky to have you guys along for the ride, because you made it that much more exciting!

As for @Caseydiedrick, @HarveyGuillen, @Kierseyclemons, @fryryCooper & @JohnGaret, I love you all and I’m so excited to see what great things you guys will be doing next. Let’s all grab dinner next week and celebrate a show that we all loved and were so proud to make.

Love to you all,

[Interview] Clean Slate: Meet the New Victoria Justice

March 26, 2015 | News written by: Cristian | Leave a comment (0)

“I’m embracing and loving the fact that I am a woman now,” says Victoria Justice of her new grown-up look. The sentiment comes after eight years of playing a high school student on Nickelodeon, with hits Zoey 101 and Victorious. Now 22, Justice finds herself in fresh territory, taking on more mature roles—like that of tech genius Lindy Sampson on the MTV thriller Eye Candy—and owning her sexuality. In this month’s beauty editorial, the actress opens up about breaking away from the tween world, getting back into the music business, and maintaining a healthy relationship in the spotlight.

In the hair and makeup chair, Justice is a lot like a kid in a candy store; she loves to play. “I’m really open to trying different beauty looks,” she told us. “I love taking risks and there are definitely days when I want to play with different colors in my hair, or days when I want to do a much shorter bob or even a pixie cut.” On set for her March Byrdie shoot, Justice welcomed a fresh-face look with a cool twist—think: a bold graphic eye and architectural ponytail. It’s fitting, considering she herself is embracing an edgier style as of late. “I always had to be conscious of that younger audience and couldn’t go too mature,” she says. “Now that I have a show on MTV, I am no longer part of that world as much. If I want to wear something that is low cut or show a little more skin, I embrace. I own it.”

The jump from tween star to grown-up actress is a move Justice had been preparing to make since she was 18. “I think doing Eye Candy was the perfect next step for me,” she says. “It was important after being on Nickelodeon for so long, and people seeing me as Lola on Zoey 101 and as Tory on Victorious, that I leave a new character in their mind. When I read the Eye Candy script, I loved that it was a thriller, that it was dark, gory, and very sexy all at the same time. I was really ready to take on a role like that.”

“When reading interesting scripts I have such an urge to bring that character to life,” Justice adds. She credits the unique roles that come her way for keeping her passionate about the industry. “I am also constantly inspired by people that I admire and respect and would love to work with one day. For example, I love David. O Russell. I think he’s an amazing director, and Cameron Crowe is another one. And then Julianne Moore. I think she’s an incredible actress, and I respect the choices she makes.”

Justice is nothing if not a great performer, and she’s proved it both onscreen, as well as on stage. And while she recently put her singing career on hold to focus on acting, it’s never been far from her mind. When asked about the album she’s been working on, Justice replied, “Now that I have a little bit of a break from the show, I’m definitely getting the itch to get back in the studio and start writing again. I miss performing so much; I miss being on stage and being able to share my music with people. Whether I sign to another label, I’m not sure, but I might just release stuff on my own, so my fans can hear it and I can share that with the world. [Music] will always be such a huge part of my life.”

Even with her hectic production schedules and budding music career, Justice still manages to make time for long-term boyfriend Pierson Fode. The two have been dating since 2013, and despite living on opposite sides of the country, they are stronger than ever. “I am not perfect when it comes to being in a relationship, and it definitely has its challenges, but I think the key is communication,” says Justice. “Just taking the time to really be invested in the other person’s life and their wants and their needs and how they need to feel loved.”

With the debut season of Eye Candy wrapped, Justice has high hopes for the series’ future. “I’m really proud of the show and what we accomplished,” she tells us of working with the cast. “So fingers crossed it gets picked up for a second season.” In the meantime, Justice’s fans have a lot to look forward to. Later this year, she’s breaking into the indie world with the coming-of-age flick Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List, and she’ll play a misfit alongside Peyton List in The Outskirts, due to hit theaters in June. And new music is on the horizon, too. “I’ve been telling my fans for such a long time that I’m going to be releasing music, so just wai—it’s coming! I think now is the time.”

[News] H&M And DoSomething.org Team Up With Victoria For Second Annual Comeback Clothes Campaign

March 21, 2015 | News written by: Cristian | Leave a comment (0)

NEW YORK, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Global retailer H&M and not-for-profit organization DoSomething.org are teaming up with actress Victoria Justice for their second annual Comeback Clothes campaign, an initiative aimed towards collecting unwanted clothing and textiles to recycle them into a new life. Beginning today through May 31st, participants can collect any old or unwanted clothing and textiles and bring them into any H&M store. In return, participants will receive 20% off their next H&M purchase. Young people who sign up for the campaign at comeback-clothes.com will have the chance to win a $10,000 scholarship or a $4,000 school grant, and are encouraged to get their schools and local communities involved.

Rising star Victoria Justice, star of the new MTV cyber thriller, “Eye Candy” serves as the face of this year’s campaign by starring in the public service announcement for Comeback Clothes encouraging fans to recycle their unwanted clothing. “Living a conscious lifestyle is important to me and the Comeback Clothes campaign makes it so easy to help the planet,” said Victoria Justice. “Everyone has a solo sock or ripped t-shirt that they can keep out of a landfill.”

After learning that the vast majority of fabric can be recycled, yet 85% of all textiles end up in landfills each year, H&M wanted to offer an easy solution to get rid of unwanted clothing while also doing something good for the environment. H&M is the first fashion company to launch a global garment collecting initiative. Since the launch in 2013, almost thirty million pounds of product has been collected. The brands aim is to minimize waste that goes into landfills by finding a solution to reuse and recycle textile fibers for new use. The donated clothing will be sent to a recycling facility where they will be given a new life.

“We are proud to re-launch our partnership with DoSomething.org. Garment Collecting is a key Sustainability initiative for H&M,” says Daniel Kulle, U.S. President for H&M. “In the U.S. to date, we’ve kept more than 400,000 pounds of textiles out of landfills. We want to positively affect the environment by offering our customers a convenient way to recycle their old textiles.”

“Last year
, DoSomething.org members recycled over 340,000 pounds of clothing in less than nine weeks,” said Naomi Hirabayashi, chief marketing officer at DoSomething.org. “This is an issue that young people really care about and Comeback Clothes is such an accessible way to help the environment.”

Sustainability is an integral part of H&M’s operations. In an effort to continue to work towards a more sustainable fashion future, H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection will be launching in select stores and online at hm.com on April 16th. The limited-edition collection, which embodies details derived from global influences and cultures, is made from more sustainable and recycled materials.
